KUANTAN: The boys and girls of the SMJK Hwa Lian wind orchestra are aiming to bag the gold award at the 2018 International Wind Band Competition in Taipei, Taiwan on Aug 3.
Senior assistant teacher in charge of student affairs, Ng Hon Yen, said the 78 orchestra members of the contingent, which is the only team from Malaysia invited to take part in the competition, had been practising hard.
