EXCITING times are ahead for Sharp Malaysia and its customers as this year marks its 33rd anniversary in Malaysia.

To reward loyal customers for their support, Sharp has launched a special Sharp 33rd Anniversary campaign which runs from now until April 30.

Malaysians get to enjoy 33% discount on selected items and models including refrigerators, TVs, washing machines, air-conditioners and air purifiers, at all of its authorised dealer outlets nationwide.

The products will be offered during three sets of promotions with each period running for 11 days: now until April 8, April 9 to 19 and April 20 to 30.

The company is also having a Lucky 33 contest in which customers who purchase Sharp products worth RM1,000 and above (including GST) will be entitled to participate in a lucky draw.

Thirty-three lucky winners will then be selected to buy any one Sharp product — 60” android 4K TV (LC60UA6800X), 800l Hikaru fridge (SJF866MS) or the J-Tech inverter air-conditioner (AHXP18UXD) and humidifying air purifier (FPH90LW) combo — at only RM33.

“It is our 33rd year in Malaysia since our sales operations began on May 14, 1985. In conjunction with this historic moment, we want to thank all Malaysians for their support through this anniversary campaign,” said Sharp Malaysia Sales & Service Company Sdn Bhd managing director Tadashi Ohyama at the launch at The Gardens Hotel.

There will be a series of roadshows to reach out to consumers, with the first this weekend at Modern Living in Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam while the others will take place throughout the month at different locations.

During the campaign launch, the company also made an important announcement – the merging of Sharp Malaysia with Sharp Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SEM) – with effect from April 1.

SEM will now solely conduct all sales and service operations in Malaysia, on top of its procurement, product planning, and research and development.

The integration was aimed at having everything under one roof for a more efficient business structure, in line with Sharp Corpora-tion’s direction of structuring the sales system to one base per country, or “one country, one sales” company.
