KULAI: Housewife Sarinah Parlan was devastated when her home was destroyed in a fire at Felda Pasir Raja about a year ago because of a short circuit.

The 75-year-old grandmother and her family had to rent a house nearby and to add to her grief, her husband passed away a few months after the incident.
