The site of suspected illegal earth works that has caused a retention pond to shrink.

WHAT was supposed to be a pleasant spot of forest trees behind an apartment in Taman Raintree Batu Caves is now home to a few unsightly activities taking place on the banks of Sungai Batu.

According to residents, the river, which sits right between the apartment and forest, was currently being used as an open burning ground, illegal dumpsite, a cattle farm and also soil excavation works.
