Leave tombs alone, say residents

An excavator was found at the estate near Ara Kuda in Penanti where the stop-work order notice was put up by MPSP.

AN ILLEGAL land clearing at a Hindu and Chinese cemetery inside an oil palm estate in Penanti has left nearby residents with ancestors buried there all riled up.

The Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB) sought help from the Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) and found that the developer did not have permission to clear the land. A stop-work order was issued and a police report was also lodged.
