TO strengthen the working relationship between those in the travel and trade industry, a special networking session was organised by the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA).

Held at Sunway Putra Mall, the two-hour event saw members of MATTA, the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) and the National ICT Association of Malaysia (Pikom) coming together for tea.

The casual affair, which also welcomed new MATTA members, and acknowledged the collaboration between MATTA, MAH, and Pikom who are working together to provide technology solutions for its members to compete in the market and boost inbound travel through an online platform.

MATTA also announced that it would be looking into partnerships with other companies such as Grab to allow travel agents to sell or utilise their vehicles efficiently to reach the market.

There will be a number of projects coming up in the year involving not just MATTA, but those in the hotel and ICT industries, as well as more networking events for those in the travel and trade industry, to get to know one another and do business.
