Complaints bureau chairman claims protection money being collected ‘on his behalf’


Perak Barisan Nasional Public Services and Complaints Bureau chairman Mohd Rawi Abdullah has found that unscrupulous middlemen have been misusing his name to collect protection money from illegal gambling operators.

Mohd Rawi, who has been working to eradicate illegal mini casinos that use funfairs as a front, said he recently received information that his name was being used to collect RM5,000 from mini casino operators.
