MIRI: A health and environment activist in Miri has blamed the recent spate of open burning on landowners.

Former Miri Hospital director Dr Uma Devi, who is Miri Litter Busters chairman and Miri Red Crescent vice-president, said they are purposely starting fires to clear vacant land.
