FOOTWEAR brand Keds continues to put women first, in line with its tagline as it celebrated International Women’s Day with a group of influencers and the media.
Themed “Wellness, selfcare”, guests were treated to activities hosted by Royal Sporting House (RSH) Malaysia at Rawsome T6, Light Grey in Sungai Buloh.
It began with an hour of yoga led by instructor Lim Lay Gaik with 18 years of experience that saw participants releasing their tension with some slow poses.
A healthy lunch was served later, followed by DIY workshops on how to make healthy meals as well as a nutrition talk by Rawsome founder Elyn Pow and nutritionist Shanice Tan respectively.
Guests were also taught how to make their own aromatherapy perfume oil – rose, orange, lavender and peppermint, or a combination of any scent by Claire’s Organics.
The event was to celebrate and remind women that they need to take a break and relax despite their busy schedules, said RSH (M) Sdn Bhd brand manager Yong Sook Mun.
“It’s all about empowering women. In this fast-paced world, we need to lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
“From the activities, we hope they will learn and understand that it is important to take care of themselves by exercising and eating healthily,” she said.
RSH introduced Keds Spring 2018 collection – a fresh range of silhouettes and timeless court classics that promotes the brand’s iconic style.
“Themed ‘Takes a Breath’, the light and airy collection allows for everyday wellness and balance. Breathable and functional materials are used to provide breathability and comfort to the feet,” said Yong.
The Studio collection offers a minimalistic construction for those who want to look sporty, chic and stylish at the same time.
It features lightweight jersey and Dri-Freeze technology for breathability, moulded foot beds and contoured arch shapes for support, padded Neoprene at the heels for cushion, lightweight EVA foam with breathable perforations and added arch support with channels for ventilation.
There are two types to suit the different preference of Keds fans: the Studio Leap which is a CVO upper pattern with fixed gore laces and the Studio Liv, a slip-on iteration. The Original Champion collection, on the other hand, embraces the heritage of Keds canvas sneakers which started in the United States in 1916.
It comes in different colours for every outfit and outing, and is a classic shoe that works all year round.
To inject fun and colours, Keds has partnered with the Little Miss brand on a new line of sneakers that feature characters Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Chatterbox and Little Miss Bossy.
A playful spin on the footwear brand’s passion for female empowerment, this whimsical collection captures the bright, happy and full of spirit personality.
The collaboration between the brand and Rifle Paper Co. has expanded from two successful seasons to an exclusive product offering for Spring 2018.
This vibrant range comes in new styles and patterns – floral prints in hot pink, coral, blue and green tones and lush botanical in black and green as well as intricate embroidery.
Brides-to-be who prefer to walk down the aisle comfortably without tripping or celebrate their wedding in style can opt for the Keds for Kate Spade New York Bridal Collection.
Sneakers in stone embellishments or glitter can be worn on any bridal occasion: on the wedding day, engagement party or even by the bridesmaids.
Keds Spring 2018 collection starts from RM169, and is available at selected Stadium, Studio R, Royal Sporting House as well as Parkson, Robinsons, Sogo KL and Zalora.
