Shah Alam car-free day turns festive


An acrobatic lion dance performance spreading Chinese New Year cheer at the car-free day organised by Shah Alam.

MORE than 2,000 people joined the Car Free Day organised by Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam last Sunday.

Routes along Persiaran Bandaraya, Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Tasik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri and Persiaran Damai were closed to traffic from 6.30am to 9.30am to accommodate participants who walked, ran, cycled or skated along the 5km route.
