IN A bid to help consumers manage living costs, Guardian Malaysia is lowering its prices for selected items every week for the entire year.

In its new “Knockdown Prices Campaign”, the retailer will feature four to five full range of products every Friday to Sunday with reductions of 10% to 70%.

Speaking at the launch of the campaign in Guardian Sunway Pyramid, Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Soren Lauridsen said it was important to the retailer in many ways.

“It’s bringing Guardian back to its original DNA, which is all about delivering good value and service to all Malaysians.

“It’s important because it’s our way of trying to mitigate the rising living costs here in Malaysia,” he shared.

Lauridsen said an estimated 260 products ranging from personal care and health to beauty products such as shampoo, body wash, facial cleansers, face masks and many more would be offered at lower prices during the year.

“We believe the campaign is timely and appropriate given the current business environment, and we are confident our customers all over the country will be thrilled,” expressed Lauridsen.

Joining in the launch were the Guardian Malaysia Knockdown Prices Campaign spokesmen Charis Ow, Jenn Chia and Era FM radio announcers Ray and Haniff.

Haniff said they would be keeping their listeners notified of Guardian’s deals.

“One thing Guardian has in common with us is that they’ve got ‘knockdown prices’ and we have followers looking for such deals.

“I want to share my shopping experiences with them,” said Haniff.

Chia said she was influenced by her mother to shop at Guardian since she was young.

“We always want a good deal and we want to be a voice for the good deals,” she said.

The Knockdown Prices Campaign is in addition to other ongoing campaigns and promotions which the retailer is running, such as the “weekend super savers”, “deal of the week” and the Hello Kitty Limited Edition Collections promotion that is running until April 18.

“The previous week, we launched the ‘Beauty Days’ campaign, a promotion where we lower the prices of beauty products for customers.

“It took place again over the weekend, when all cosmetic product prices were lowered by 50%,” he said.
