“YOU don’t have to think too big, you simply need to do what you can do now.”
Zubedy (M) Sdn Bhd founder Anas Zubedy said it does not take much to do something beneficial for the underprivileged community.
“It doesn’t matter if you contribute RM5 or RM5,000, you just make sure it’s something you can do.”
In their efforts to contribute to the #DaretoCare campaign, Anas and the team at his firm set up a kitty in the office and bought various goods based on the list of suggested items.
“We found out about this initiative from the newspaper; it is really easy to join and it resonates with what we do.
“There will always be people who need help, and we cannot wait for others to do it; we as the rakyat need to do our part.”
Anas believes there is a stronger message in the campaign.
“My team did something together other than what is required in their job descriptions, and there is unity in this,” he expressed.
Other than the unifying factor, he said they supported corporate organisations which initiate good causes as it could have a ripple effect on other companies and individuals to do the same.
#DaretoCare is a joint charity initiative championed by Star Media Group and SkyWorld Development Group to address the needs of welfare homes in Malaysia.
The campaign encourages the public to help the less fortunate by donating essential items or gifts in brown paper bags that can be found at any of SkyWorld’s property galleries.
The bags can be dropped off at the property galleries in Kuala Lumpur (Sentul, Setiawangsa, Bukit Jalil and Setapak) or at Menara Star in Petaling Jaya until Feb 15, where the developer will then collect and distribute them to selected welfare homes.
Alternatively, donors can drop off their donations directly at the property galleries.

As a token of appreciation to donors, SkyWorld will give away GSC movie tickets when they make their donations (terms and conditions apply) at the property galleries.
