KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Fisheries Department will recommend an export ban on fresh fish products from the state if a shortage arises ahead of Chinese New Year next month.

The department’s director Dr Ahemad Sade said that the move to ban fresh fish products is to protect the interest of Sabahans and ensure sufficient supply locally.
