Sweet offering to mark auspicious day

THE state-level Ponggal celebration was held at the Arulmigu Devi Sree Veerapathra Maha Kaliamman Temple, Pantai Bersih, Butterworth.

Organised for the first time at the temple under the control of the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB), the event kicked off with cultural and traditional performances before volunteers started to boil milk to prepare the sweet rice.
