RAPID KL Monorail Line has temporarily suspended the operation of its four-car train sets with immediate effect, while maintaining service with two-car train sets.

The decision to carry out safety checks on the four sets of four-car trains was taken today,Rapid KL said in a statement.

In view of the temporary unavailability of the four-car trains, Rapid KL has deployed shuttle bus services to buttress service along the monorail line for the convenience of commuters. 

Fare is RM1 per trip with a headway of 15 minutes, subject to traffic conditions.

The bus service will commence daily from 7am to 10pm daily.

Only two-car train sets were currently in service, providing a headway of 13 minutes.

Rapid KL apologised for the inconvenience caused, saying the move was necessary. The decision had to be taken as there could be no compromises when it came to safety, added in the statement.
