Better living conditions for construction workers


CLAB’s CLQ has six blocks comprising 144 rooms with the capacity to house up to 864 workers.

IN ADDRESSING issues concerning construction workers’ living conditions, the Construction Labour Exchange Centre Bhd (CLAB), a subsidiary of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, has launched its first Centralised Labour Quarters (CLQ).

The 2.02ha workers’ quarters in Sungai Buloh is aimed at upgrading the living conditions of construction workers, which will improve their wellbeing and eventually, work productivity.
