KUANTAN: The situation in Pekan, following the floods, is almost back to normal, with only 619 people still at five flood evacuation centres, while in Rompin, the situation is back to normal.

Malaysian Civil Defence Force director Col Zainal Yusof said the four flood evacuation centres in Rompin had been closed after all the 294 evacuees were allowed to return home.
