Lighting up the new year

Mah (in blue shirt) pressing a buttong to light up the lanterns on the Lantern Tree during a ceremony held to celebrate the arrival of 2018.

A 50m-tall raintree in Teluk Intan was brightly lit with lanterns in conjunction with the celebration of the new year.

Named the “Lantern Tree” by Teluk Intan MP Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong last year, it was decorated with about 100 lanterns sponsored by Mah and local merchants.
