IT WAS a love for music and the desire to provide wider accessibility to it that inspired Datuk Louis Chong to start Persatuan Kebajikan Yue Shan Akademik Muzik Malaysia (Yue Shan).

He grew up in a poor family so music was considered a luxury. But Chong loved music so much that he saved his pocket money to fuel his passion.
