Firm raises RM120,000 in aid of kids

Mock cheques for RM60,000 each were handed to the two charities at the event.

CONSTRUCTION services company ISG raised RM120,000 at a fundraising event in Le Meridien Hotel Kuala Lumpur for Make-A-Wish Malaysia and Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam.

More than 170 guests from across the construction industry attended the Eat, Drink and Be Giving fundraiser, which included a charity auction.

Make-A-Wish Malaysia chief executive officer Irene Tan was grateful that ISG chose it as one of the beneficiaries.

“With this support, we hope to help more children from other states,” she said.

Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam, founded in 2001, is a home for underprivileged children in Kepong and a representative thanked ISG for the donation, saying it was valuable and would help further its efforts.

Speaking at the event, ISG Malaysia managing director Paul Marshall said, “This event would not have been a success without the support of our customers, trade contractors, industry partners and employees.

“I would like to thank all who have helped today as it will make a significant difference to these organisations,” he addded.
