Workshop gets notice to clear abandoned cars

Abandoned cars at the backlane of Jalan Sungai Keladi 2 in Port Klang are an eyesore and a breeding spot for mosquitoes.

AN ILLEGAL car workshop in the Sungai Keladi Industrial area in Port Klang has been given 14 days by Klang Municipal Council (MPK) to clear its premises of abandoned vehicles.

The notice was issued on Dec 28 last year after the council’s enforcement team looked into public complaints that the workshop in Jalan Sungai Keladi 2, which has been operating for more than five years, was an eyesore because it housed the abandoned cars and could be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
