Here’s to an even better year

Nolee Ashilin (centre) also launched a board game called Touring Perak to mark the wrapping up of Visit Perak Year 2017 during the countdown of the New Year 2018 in Ipoh.

THE year 2017 came to a loud and colourful end for the people of Perak as thousands of revellers came together at the Dataran Ipoh to celebrate the wrapping up of a good year for the state, which included a very successful Visit Perak Year 2017 (VPY 2017).

The state-level New Year countdown started out with a bang as members of Selendang Perak, the state government’s dance and cultural troupe, took to the stage in a lively fan dance complete with multi-coloured “hair” and “wings” to match their costumes.
