MPK cleans up monsoon drains throughout Klang


MPK is in the midst of building a holding pond at Sungai Jati off Jalan Raja Nong in south Klang to curb flash floods. It is the second holding pond for the neighbourhood.

KLANG Municipal Council (MPK) is taking steps to reduce the risk of flash floods by constructing a holding pond with automatic pumps in Taman Sungai Jati, off Jalan Raja Nong, in south Klang.

MPK’s Engineering Department had originally planned to only repair the rainwater harvesting pit there, but MPK president Datuk Mohamad Yasid Bidin instructed to build a new holding pond.
