Activist: Sarawak government must takeover all rural road projects

A section of the Belaga-Menjawah collapsed earlier this month due to soil movement and erosion.

MIRI: A social activist and lawyer has suggested that the Sarawak state government takes over all the rural roads constructed by the army under the Jiwa Murni programme.

Abun Sui, a native land rights activist, said it was good that Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Openg had allocated RM50mil to repair the damaged Belaga-Menjawah road.
