STAR Media Group Bhd and SkyWorld Development Group’s joint charity initiative #DaretoCare campaign has kicked off to a good start.

With 50,000 copies of The Star newspaper in collectable brown paper bags distributed, readers are already filling the bags with donations in kind to do their part in supporting the underprivileged community.

The public can do more than just fill the bags; they can share information to get more people to join the cause.

Visit https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2017/12/19/spreading-joy-in-a-bag/ and share the informative video link with friends and family.

The video will walk viewers through how they can do their part to spread the joy.

Another round of The Star newspapers in these collectable brown paper bags will be distributed on Jan 13 to readers in the Klang Valley.

Alternatively, one can get the paper bags at SkyWorld’s property galleries in Sentul, Setiawangsa, Bukit Jalil and Setapak.

These galleries are the collection points for the donations, where the developer will collect donated items until Feb 15 before distributing them to selected welfare homes.

The suggested items include household and personal care goods such as shampoo, soap, detergent, toothpaste, toothbrush, umbrella, adult diapers, insect repellent, clothes, shoes and school uniforms; dry food such as salt, sugar, flour, beverage powders, canned food and cooking oil; and stationery.

Donors are encouraged to write heartfelt messages on the surface of the paper bags, which could help lift the spirit of its receiver.
