JOHOR BARU: There will be movements within the Johor civil service this month and in January, with 35 officers changing positions and departments.

Deputy state secretary in charge of development and Johor Economic Planning Unit (Upen) chief Salehuddin Hassan was named the new Johor-owned education entity YPJ Holdings Sdn Bhd chief executive officer.

His former position will be taken over by deputy state secretary for management and protocol Ramlee A. Rahman.

Kota Tinggi district officer Dr Badrul Hisham Kassim was promoted as the new deputy state secretary for management and protocol.

Dr Badrul’s position will be taken over by land and mines deputy director Mohd Ridha Abd Kadir.

The new appointments will take effect on Dec 22.

Starting from Jan 1, Kulai district officer Md Za’nal Misran will take on the role of deputy state secretary for the people’s well-being.

Mohd Khir Johari Salleh will take over as Kulai district officer, vacating his portfolio of local government unit assistant to Muzaldin Mohamed.

Muar Municipal Council will welcome a new president come Jan 1 as Jamaludin A. Hamid moves to the Johor Land and Mines Department as deputy director I.

Mustaffa Kamal Shamsudin from the Kluang Land Administrative Office will replace him as Muar Municipal Council president.
