Hospital earns baby-friendly status via hard work

LAM Wah Ee Hospital in Penang has finally been certified as a baby-friendly hospital after a three-year wait.

Its Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) chairman Dr Adele Tan said the hospital had always been supportive of breastfeeding but earning the certificate had been difficult as there were many challenges along the way.
