All set to head back to school

Sihabutheen presenting the back-to-school items to the schoolchildren at the ceremony.

SOME 500 pupils received school items from Pelita Nasi Kandar Sdn Bhd as part of its annual ‘Back to School’ corporate social responsibility project.

Its director Datuk K.K. Sihabutheen said the Year One to Year Six pupils each received RM150 worth of school items such as schoolbags, shoes and stationery items.

They are pupils of SK Seberang Jaya, SK Seberang Jaya 2 and SK Bakap Indah, as well as children of the Masjid Jamek Seberang Jaya committee members.

“We want to bring cheer and warmth to the children through this project,” Sihabutheen said during the presentation ceremony at Masjid Jamek Seberang Jaya on Sunday.

The company also sponsored lunch at the event,which was attended by the children’s parents and school teachers.

Also present were Pelita Nasi Kandar Sdn Bhd director Datuk Uswath Khan Kirudu Mohamad and The Light Hotel (Seberang Jaya) managing director Tan Sri D. Ramesh.
