Students hold event to help cut use of plastic bags


Some Lion Club of 308B2 students demonstrating the one eco-friendly bag for one plastic bag exchange under their Project 141 at Ipoh Parade shopping centre on Dec 2.

WITH eco-friendly bags in hand, around 160 students from more than 10 schools came together in the hopes of reducing the use of plastic bags among members of the public.

Working together with Ipoh Parade shopping centre under Project 141 (one for one), members of Leo Club of 308B2, comprising youths from Selangor and Perak, walked around the mall exchanging eco-friendly bags to shoppers in exchange for plastic bags.
