State government submits plan to offset debt

KUANTAN: The state government will propose the valuation of water catchment areas in Pahang to offset its debt with the Federal Government.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said Pahang had about 270,000ha of forests serving as water catchment areas that provided water to neighbouring states such as Terengganu, Kelantan, Perak, Negri Sembilan and Johor.
