VILLAGERS of Kampung Sungai Rusa near Balik Pulau, Penang, are irked after a recent downpour flooded their homes with sludge and mud.

They claimed that the mud had been washed down from a slope near the foothills of Bukit Sungai Rusa, which was stripped bare for the building of wooden chalets about 10 minutes’ drive from Balik Pulau town.
