Volunteers plant 500 mangrove saplings in Kuching Wetlands National Park

A total of 75 volunteers from CMS took about an hour to plant 500 mangrove saplings at the Kuching Wetlands National Park.

KUCHING: Employees from Cahya Mata Sarawak (CMS) braved the rain and mud to plant 500 mangrove saplings (bakau kurap or rhizophora mucronata) at the Ramsar site in Kuching Wetlands National Park.

About 75 volunteers took part in the programme organised in collaboration with Sarawak Forest Department last weekend, as part of CMS’s “Doing Good” programme.
