Insurer speeds up claims process to reduce burden of flood victims

AmGeneral Insurance Bhd has announced that it will make interim payments of up to RM500,000 on valid property and motor insurance claims to Penang flood victims within 48 hours instead of the usual seven working days.

To-date, AmGeneral Insurance units, Kurnia Insurans and AmAssurance have fast-tracked interim payments for more than 60 flood claims.
