PROPERTY developer Aspen Group delighted the residents of Yee Ran Jing Sheh Handicapped Children’s Home in Penang during their visit.

The group brought along cakes and other desserts for all to enjoy.

The visitors also presented rice, milk powder, canned food and instant noodles to the home in Jalan Belimbing.

Caretaker Chuah Giap Beng said the home, which started in 2003, relied solely on public donations.

“We have 60 residents here aged between eight and 57 and most were diagnosed with Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy,” said Chuah.

“Every month, we spend about RM20,000 to look after them, including salaries for 13 staff members.”

Also present during the visit was Batu Kawan MP Kasthuriraani Patto.
