IT RAINED non-stop from evening till almost midnight in Sungai Siput on Saturday, but the gloomy weather did not dampen spirits of the thousands gathered at Ladang Infoternak to be part of this year’s national-level Deepavali open house.

Local resident Ng Mun Choong said it was the biggest Deepavali celebration ever held at the town.
