Historical book on Sarawak on sale soon


KUCHING: A memoir depicting the career of the late ACP Datuk Lawrence Lim Eng Liong, who was an important figure in protecting Sarawak against communist threats spanning three decades, will soon hit the book shelves.

Titled Api – The Tiger of Kanowit, the book chronicles his role in the tough upkeeping of peace, crippling the activities of the clandestine communist organisation in Sarawak throughout the1960s to 80s, culminating in the signing of a peace agreement with the final batch of insurgents on Oct 17, 1990.
