KUCHING: The Kenyalang Journalism Awards (KJA) 2017 presentation ceremony scheduled for Nov 22 has been postponed to Nov 27 at a new location.

Federation of Sarawak Journalist Associations president Andy Jong Wan Joon said the event had to be moved as Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg needed to attend two international functions in Kuching on the same date.

“The Kenyalang Journalism Awards (KJA) 2017 will be held on Nov 27 at Pullman Hotel at 7pm,” he said in a statement here.

Jong said the two international events were the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF)) on Nov 22 and 23 as well as the annual Malaysia-Indonesia Consultative Meeting on Nov 21 and 22.

“The meeting will involve discussions between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Indonesian President Joko Widodo, “ he said.
