World Sight Day celebration stresses need for parents to take eye health seriously

EYE health and vision care is important and parents must ensure that their children go for regular eye checks from a young age.

Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah said visits to the eye doctor once in a year or two, are recommended to keep tabs on a child’s visual development and help parents detect problems at an early stage to prevent learning disabilities.
