Group: Stop approving hill slope projects

THE Penang government has been told to amend the 2009 guidelines on ‘special projects’ to explicitly prohibit development on hill lands.

Tanjung Bungah Residents Association (TBRA) chairman Meenakshi Raman, representing the Residents Association of Penang, said the state government needs to cease approving further hill slope and hill land developments unless they are meant for essential public services.
