MALAYSIANS know very little about electronic waste or e-waste management even though they are already familiar with recycling efforts, state Education, Science, Environment and Green Technology Committee chairman Datuk Dr Muhammad Amin Zakaria says.
Muhammad said, while Malaysians have been taught to recycle paper, aluminium, plastics and glass, there are no programmes at school or at work to educate them on the proper methods of discarding electrical appliances and electronic devices.
