MIRI: 1Malaysia retail outlets (KR1M) will soon be set up in rural areas of Sarawak.
Domestic Trade, Consumerism and Cooperatives Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin said the plan was to issue licences to community bodies and village cooperatives to set up 1Malaysia stores so that villagers could buy essential items at relatively cheaper prices than regular grocery stores.
