SOME 228 former policemen and officers were awarded the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara during a state-level award presentation ceremony, last week.

Held at the Perak State Secretariat banquet hall, the recipients or their kin received the awards presented by Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir to recognise their sacrifices for the country, especially those who served during the Malayan Emergency.
