Rain no match for colourful celebration

AS IF it did not want to disappoint the hundreds of people gathered at the Gopeng Lantern Fest, the moon shined brightly and illuminated the sky even as persistent rain threatened to put a damper on the festivities.

But even the wet weather could not stop revellers from marvelling at the moon and taking part in a lantern procession around Medan Lapangan Lagenda in Ipoh, which falls under the Gopeng parliamentary constituency.
