THE Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has come under fire for its plan to continue tearing down the remaining car park shelters at an apartment block in Perak Road.

Former Pantai Jerejak assemblyman Wong Mun Hoe said the council should have instead looked into ways of legalising the zinc-covered shelters which were put up 17 years ago at the Taman Seri Perak Apartments.
