Steps to smoothen process of helping

The boys and girls at Ray of Hope Children's Home have come to find a family of their own despite backgrounds of being abandoned and neglected.

Celebrations are a time of giving and receiving blessings, but most importantly a time to share.

StarMetro has launched its “Do Good. Grant-A-Wish” campaign to brighten the lives of the less fortunate by fulfilling some of their wishes.

The campaign is being held in conjunction with all major festivals throughout the year, beginning with three welfare homes in the run-up to Deepavali.

They are Anbe Sivam Charity Home that is open to special needs individuals of all ages and single mothers; Ann’s Cottage for victims of domestic abuse and single mothers; and Ray of Hope Children’s Home for neglected and abandoned children.

Their needs include baby diapers, school stationeries, personal care products, dry foodstuff, computers and small musical instruments.

StarMetro is collecting the donations of items and delivering them to the welfare homes. However, there are a few things to note in order to ensure a smooth process and convenience for all involved.

Items that are in good condition can be dropped off between 10am and 4pm on weekdays and from 11am to 3pm on weekends, at the loading bay of Menara Star.

Computers should not be older than three years old.

If you plan to give bulky electrical products and items in bulk, notify StarMetro to arrange for pick-up by emailing us at (metro@thestar.com.my)

We will not be accepting cash, cheques or fresh produce.

This donation drive ends on Oct 13. Menara Star is in Jalan 16/11, Phileo Damansara II, Petaling Jaya. For further enquiries, call StarMetro at 03-7967 1388 or email metro@thestar.com.my
