A plan to end floods in Taman Melawis

CONSULTANTS from Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Bhd have agreed in principle for the construction of a cross drainage culvert to be built under a rail track for flood mitigation in Taman Melawis, Klang.

Klang Municipal Council (MPK) secretary Adi Faizal Ahmad Tarmizi said after months of poring over technical details, KTM’s consultants have agreed in principle to allow Klang District’s Drainage and Irrigation Department (JPS) to build a cross drainage culvert at its rail line to avert flash floods.
