Schools urged to report bullying and gangsterism

MOST cases of bullying and gangsterism go unreported as school authorities are more concerned about meeting performance benchmarks than in doing the right thing.

Ipoh District Police Intelligence and Operations Officer Asst Supt Mohd Radzi Abdul Rahim said most schools preferred to sweep things under the carpet and treat incidents of bullying and gangsterism as internal matters instead of reporting them to the police and education authorities.
