AN apartment resident in Jalan Perak, Penang, claimed that her complaints about an illegally erected awning to the local council had fallen on deaf ears following a letter issued by a DAP assemblyman.

Housewife Lim Phaik Hong, 55, said she had complained many times to the council about the awning used to protect vehicles from the sun since 2011 but no action was taken.
