IT WAS nothing short of breathtaking as classical songstress Yudi Yap serenaded the audience with Teresa Teng’s version of Dayung Sampan, and the smooth melody of Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s Getaran Jiwa.

Her folk-jazz fusion in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin and Cantonese, transported them back to the 1950s and 60s, and evoked feelings of nostalgia.
