Baleh and Kapit youths to gain from education programme

KUCHING: Seven youths from Baleh and Kapit are pursuing diplomas under Sarawak Energy Bhd’s (SEB) capacity-building programme to prepare the local community for employment and economic opportunities created by the Baleh hydroelectric project (HEP).

They are the first of three batches enrolled in a 28-month diploma course in occupational safety and health at a local training institute in Miri and are expected to graduate at the end of 2019.
